Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is a condition where blood sugar levels increase during pregnancy due to insulin resistance. Recent research indicates that changes in the gut microbiome, including low biodiversity and increased inflammation, may contribute to the development of GDM by affecting glucose metabolism and immune balance.
We screen and analyze your gut composition to detect bacterial diversity and signs of insulin resistance, bloating, inflammation, leaky gut, and microbial infections that may increase or affect gut health, preconception, and/or risks of pregnancy complications such as GDM.
Our clinically validated, microbiome-based early screening test identifies women at risk for GDM far earlier than glucose-based approaches allowing OB/MFM practices and employers to intervene with personalized nutrition, lifestyle, and clinical care before hyperglycemia and complications develop.
